It took until November 21st for the Wild to get their first division win bringing their record to 1-6-1 against their Central Division rivals. Last night's 3-2 victory over Colorado gives the Wild a 5-2-2 record in November which followed the clubs worst opening Month record 4-9-0 since their inaugural season.

To be fair the first six division contests for the Wild were all on the road where the team struggled mightily in October.

November has been completely different as the team has played inspired hockey, with the veterans getting their legs while the Wild youngsters have started to contribute.

So now what is this Wild team and what is to be made of the recent upswing in their play?

It is clear that they play very well at home and the latter two thirds of the schedule are jam packed with home games, so are they capable of making a significant move up the standings and claw their way back into the playoff discussion?

The sentiment for awhile now has been to rebuild and get some higher end talent through the draft by finishing at or near the bottom of the standings. That is a tough sell and also something that goes against the current makeup of the team and salary structure.

Part of being a fan is sticking through the ups and downs that the team goes through. Even enjoying the process of how they transition from down to up should be relished throughout. However in today's world we want instant gratification so working through the process becomes a bigger challenge.

I for one am for the let's put the best foot forward and progress forward. To me that means getting the next generation players heavily involved and transitioning the veterans to roles that fit their games while supporting the desired outcome.

So let's go Wild keep up the inspired play as they hit the road once again for the next three against Eastern Conference foes.
