With Nick Hjalmarsson on the shelf for about three months following an ill-advised Antti Raanta impression, the Coyotes will turn to Kyle Capobianco tonight in Winnipeg.
Capobianco will be playing a game in his third straight season, but it will be just his fourth career NHL game.
The former third round pick (2015) has solid puck moving skills and has posted some pretty sweet AHL numbers.
You can't really replace Hjalmarsson, but he (one assumes) will do his best.
Darcy Kuemper gets the start and it should be a pretty fun game.
The Jets have no defense, and the Coyotes have no offense. If you combined them, you'd have one hell of a team.
According to Craig Morgan Barrett Hayton will sit in favor of Christian Fisher.
According to Daily Faceoff, Hayton is in the lineup. I figure Morgan knows best, but I hope he's wrong.
Hayton brings a level of skill that Christian Fischer sure as hell doesn't have, and really, outside of Keller and Kessel, no one on the roster has.
But if your team has trouble scoring you know the old saying: sit your most talented player.
Oh the times we have!
