Fantasy – Gem hunting in the wild Western Conference
Here it is the final list before the season begins.
Let’s pluck some mid/late round gems from the West.
I’ve added one player from each team that isn’t exactly the most worthy fantasy player on their respected team. These are quality players who I feel will burst out with an increase in points this season. Perhaps it’s due to a bigger role, a trade or promotion. Many factors to consider but I’m always looking to have a player that is getting quality minutes as well as some power play time.
Look to take some of these players in the later rounds of your draft. Some of them will be overlooked and passed up in your fantasy draft but could certainly help your team with some quality depth in the later rounds.
Nashville – Dante Fabbro (D)
Winnipeg – Josh Morrissey (D)
St Louis – Jaden Schwartz (F)
Calgary – Elias Lindholm (F) – the breakout continues!
San Jose – Kevin Labanc (F)
Vegas – Shea Theodore (D)
Dallas – Roope Hintz (F)
Colorado – Cale Makar (D)
Arizona – Antti Raanta (G)
Chicago – Erik Gustafsson (D)+ Dylan Strome (F)
Minnesota – Mathew Dumba (D)
Vancouver – Alexander Edler (D) – predicting big season for the vet
Anaheim – Troy Terry (F)
Edmonton – James Neal (F) – predicting he ends up with McDavid or Draisaitl
Los Angeles – Jonathan Quick (G) – can’t be worse than last couple seasons
I made a few notes beside a few names and you will see Chicago has two breakout players.
I’ve had two of my three drafts and have my last one tonight. So far so good! I will update my teams and notify you of any trades I make. If you need any insight or another opinion feel free to private message me or post in the comments section.
