I have been talking to sources regarding Brayden Point over the last two days and this one is getting bad...with both sides digging in to the point (pun intended) the Bolts are listening to offers for the first time....One source says, "They are taking calls...not shopping Brayden, but also not telling GMs that he is untouchable..."

The sides are far apart on term and money, but also, as one person said today, "They are apart on philosophy...Point's importance to the team, role, etc.."

The Lightning are also up against a Cap crunch and could turn Point into some serious future prospects that they won't have to pay for years to come....So basically there is one hell of a player possibly available here....I have always felt Point's upside is close to Patrice Bergeron....
