The Avalanche on Thursday announced they have signed forward Sheldon Dries to a one-year contract for the upcoming season.

Dries, 25, was a restricted free agent. Forwards Mikko Rantanen and Vladislav Kamenev, also restricted free agents, remain unsigned.

Dries had three goals and three assists in 40 games with the Avalanche last season, his first in the NHL. He had three goals and eight assists in 25 games for the Colorado Eagles of the AHL, and a goal in four playoff games with the Eagles.

Dries has 41 points (22 goals, 19 assists) in 95 regular-season AHL games for the Eagles and Texas Stars.

The Avalanche signed him as a free agent on July 2, 2018.
