The salary cap is $81.5M, with a $60.2M floor.

From earlier:
The most common tweet I have seen on the internet goes something like....

"The NHL disappoints again...All talk and No trades."

Sound familiar?

We have been here before, right?

We haven't seen many big draft day trades despite the enormous amount of chatter...Quite often the deals have been draft rumors, but come after, closer to July 1 (see the Ryan O'Reilly deal last year).

Why?

Because there are a few teams wanting to trade who are looking at even fewer UFAs....mainly Panarin and Duchene....and the teams that don't get those players...or feel they won't be in the running for those players are the ones who are controlling some of the bigger trades.

More on Bobrovsky and Panarin in the Rumor Tracker.
