The Rangers open training camp Thursday. New York invited 58 Players to camp: 32 Forwards, 20 Defenseman, and six goalies. With the Blueshirts opting not to invite anyone on a PTO, no major surprises were on the list. Though, whoever from the social media team put together the list, someone please remind him or her that the name is Kaapo Kakko, first name, then last night, following how everyone else is listed. Posting his name as last name, first name is not the order to be followed in this case.

Vince Mercogliano listed the eight questions he had heading into the start of training camp. While each of them resonate to a certain extent, a few stand out and include several we discussed this summer. These are my three:

1) Where will the Kid Line be deployed? Will they remain together? Is Filip Chytil the 2C? Does Alexis Lafreniere move from the left to right side or displace Chris Kreider on the left side in the top-six?

2) Will Jacob Trouba and K'Andre Miller remain as a duo? Could we see Trouba and Ryan Lindgren with Adam Fox and Miller as a pairing?

3) Do Brennan Othmann and/or Will Cuylle have a realistic chance at breaking camp or are each headed to Hartford?
