Kane Decision Expected This Week….Right? |

After the long lead-up, multiple reports are saying that free agent Patrick Kane make his decision this week on who he will sign with.
The field of eight or more teams has been cut down to as few as three according to Sportsnet’s Elliotte Friedman. The conventional wisdom is that Kane, after years of long travel in the Western Conference with the Hawks, would prefer the shorter travel of the East.
Kane has interviewed with Toronto, but it is thought that the Leafs are going to concentrate their trade targets on defense. The three most mentioned destinations are Florida, Detroit, and Buffalo, but if the rumors are true that Kane wants to play with a contender, that would rule the Sabres out.
Pure guesswork here, but if it is between a team that made it to the Cup Final and one that may have trouble sneaking into a wildcard spot, I would lean towards the Panthers, but the unknown factor here is if Kane is willing to sign an incentive-based one year deal or is looking for more term and more money.
The wait should not be long now…..
