"Who am I...?" #45 (Maple Leafs)

Wassup kids?!?! Welcome to some more of that “Who am I…?… action! For those new to this neck of the woods, here’s the skinny: You get a set of five clues about a member of the hockey community, be they past or present. Based on the clues, you must figure out who it is I am referring to and post the answer in the comment section. Please adhere to this one rule though: DO NOT POST ANSWERS UNLESS YOU CAN SUPPORT THEM! You cannot be the “winner… in this arena unless you post the correct name AND can explain how the clues link to that individual. Nothing too long either. Just brief, point form, answers. Anyone not following this requirement will be shamed in the comments, with the extent of the shaming depending on how far you’ve deviated from the requirements. Again, “winner… is in quotes because it’s a moral victory, not one where you get anything tangible. Tangible requires me to buy something and pay to send it to you, and while I appreciate everyone dropping by to read my stuff I have limits on how much I actually value people on the whole… ;)

Now, before we get to this weeks clues, let's take a look at last weeks clues and answers. Here we go!

1. I was drafted as a defenseman. (1st overall pick in 1985 by the Toronto Maple Leafs) 2. I was once included as the main player in a trade for someone drafted at the same draft position I was. (Mats Sundin, the 1989 1st overall pick) 3. I have two family members who played in the NHL. (Barry Melrose and Joey Kocur, both cousins) 4. I have played for three original six teams. (Toronto, Detroit and Chicago) 5. I am a three time all star. (WHL in 1985, NHL in1986 and 1999)

Who am I? I’m………..Wendel Clark!!!

Man! That was such a softie lofted in for you guys. This week’s though? I believe it’s going to be tougher on ya’s! I do not doubt people will get it, but it won’t be solved as quickly as last week’s!!! Have at it people!

1. I won multiple Stanley Cups. 2. I hold a degree related to the medical field. 3. I am among a limited group to win Stanley Cups in this manner. 4. I won a championship as a coach while playing in the NHL. 5. I was involved in a significant Stanley Cup first.

Good luck peeps, and remember: every time you post a player name without supporting information for the clues, someone, possibly someone you care about, gets hit in the groin….
