This Forbes article summarizes the top 10 sports card and memorabilia sales for 2016, collectively for which a record setting $12 million was spent!
Eight/Nine year old kid threatens Ovechkin with on-ice consequences if the card he sent him wasn’t autographed and returned. Ovi didn’t reply to the request. A decade later, the kid, Mike Woods, now in his rookie year with the New Jersey Devils, had a chance to make good on his threat!
The OHL’s Kingston Frontenacs will be raising money for the Gord Downie Fund for Brain Cancer Research by auctioning off jerseys worn in their game against the Mississauga Steelheads on January 28th.
