Overly aggressive, but predictable. We all know both sides will meet somewhere towards the middle.

I would like to see contracts, capped at 5 years maximum. All years of the contract must be equal. No front loading, so a player can retire before the contract is over. To me, it's circumvention. Keep it at 3 years on an entry level deal and instead of 4 years, for a college player to sign after being drafted, make it 5 years. Revenue sharing should be looked at, with a sliding scale for the length of a team that continues to receive revenue sharing. If a team gets 20 million, in season 1 for revenue sharing, year 2 should be 15, year 3 should be 10, year 4 should be 5 and year 5 should be zero. No more supporting teams who can't stand on their own. Either relocate, or fold the franchise. The UFA minimum should be raised to 28, from 27.
