@TBNSully The Derek Roy news raises serious issues about the way the Sabres deal with injuries. yesterday · reply · retweet · favorite
Really? What issues? How many guys play banged up in the league on a given night? |

Can someone explain why many have an issue with Lindy's "system." why wouldn't unwant ur players to back check and be responsible in their own end? If u don't feel like ur players are playing to their potentials doesn't only make sense to decrease their playing time. I believe that these are professionals who have a job both in the offensive and defensive zone. If I don't do my job...my boss lets me know....I get pulles me in the office and tells me I need to do this or that. If I still don't perform well then there are other repercussions. Why is this situation any different. Last time I checked it was a team game and they are all responsible in both ends of the rink?? I just don't understand so if someone could explain please do |

This.
Although, I think people (me included) were initially worried that the deal could be voided out. I know that if that happened, I'd be in the corner sucking my thumb and crying.

You can't compare a professional athletes job to your or mine everyday job. It is apples and oranges.
Professional athletes have been coddled and told how great they were from the time they showed promise as a kid. I don't think an everyday office worker went through the same upbringing.
With that being said, a professional sports coach needs to know how to relate to the "spoiled" athlete without getting the "spoiled" kid all upset. It is difficult to understand and maybe I did not articulate it as well as I wanted.
But point being, maybe Ruff is to old to relate to the players anymore as he keeps getting older, but they stay the same age... |

I think that is one of the main reasons that they brought Adams in behind the bench last season. A lot of the younger guys (Gerbe, Stafford) felt like they could really talk/relate to him. |

I get that you can't really compare it to the average worker. I guess my thought process was the fundamentals of the game are still the same. Support ur team on both ends and everyone's job is easier. |
