No way the rags trade staal. Also, you're way more likely to get De Haan than Hamonic. Hamonic is as good as tied up unless it were for a first or second line player IMO. The coaches and fans love the kid...and as you said those numbers at 21 years old are too impressive to just give away

I'd trade Stastny for Yandle.

Yotes might ask for even a little more but still... would be worth it. Yandle is incredible.

There is a clearance in Montreal. Kaberle can be had REAL CHEAP.

Staal appears to be falling down the depth chart with Mcdonagh, Girardi, MDZ, Saur, Erixon, Mcilrath.

HAH. Hamonic is the other player that is untouchable on the NYI that isn't Tavares.

It very rare to come by 21 year old, who broke into the league at 20, 6'2" 205 lbs 1st pairing defencemen who can hit, shoot, and fight.

Erhoff with Johnson would work, Salary offsets with Statsny pretty close. And prospect for prospect. Obyrne is a beast but also UFA next year. We have to trade from our deepest prospect pool to get anything done, no?

I really like Vanek in our top six in COL. They need to dump salary to make room for their abundance of youngsters trying to make a splash. Would a straight Statsny-Vanek swap work?

Although Erhoff's contract is uber-lame he always played well against us in VAN.
