I can appreciate the dream Richard. I'm confident if it came true the Oilers would be in the playoff's.

Don't see Phoenix moving Yandle for quantity instead of quality.. And especially not that quantity.

They need just about everything up front but I am sure a center is at the top of that list.

You would have better luck with a Hall for Yandle swap. I doubt Gagner fit's their physical two-way center or general forward profile..

Good blog Rich I agree 100% Doan brings toughness and a Natural leader who can score 20+ goals a year and Yandle is an Olympian who plays a great offensive game.. But that being said I think Mike Green is another good option if Yandle goes elsewhere. The only reservation when u gamble on a deal like this is giving up a Top 5 pick, Hemmer finds his game again & Maggie turns in a 25g guy that really would sting..

Yandle and Whitney play near identical games.

Id rather go for Mike Green or mark Streit for a cheaper price.

Hey what would you guys think of going after Marcus Johannson? He's got more size than Gagner, and with the Caps getting Ribero he could be available. He was linemates with Paajarvi at the World Jrs and they played pretty well from what I remember.....

Green is a better player than Yandle. My only concern with him is head injuries.

The only move of signifigance the Oilers will be making is while they are sitting on the Toilet.

Even though that may be true his value would be lower due to the injuries he's had the past 2 years.

Green would be my pick as well, as long as its not a Overpayment. Especially with his injury history.

Also, I may be the only guy in Edmonton not wanting to trade Hemsky till minimum next year.. Tore it Up in the worlds and has the entire summer to train... Makes a huge difference starting a year on par with everyone else instead of a step behind.

Say goodbye to Eberle.

Alzner would be more realistic. Gagner + probably, but they acquired Robiero so I couldn't see a fit.

Straight up for Hemsky? Wash needs wingers, so it's a hockey trade. Both teams moving a position of abundance for a position of need. Plus, Ovie-Backstrom-Hemsky would be a sick line.

I don't know what the obsession with moving hemsky is.

Way rather move an unproven Prv. If he reaches his ceiling I still don't think he puts up Hemsky numbers. Plus Prv is a puss.

Not sold on the Mike green who was arguably Washingtons best player up with Ovechkin minus these injury riddled seasons. That Mike green?

If they want to win now. Healthy Hemsky playing with Ovie will do way better than MJ at present time.

I can't stand to watch anymore Oiler games where Prv rushes down the wing and flips it into the goalies glove.
