Anaheim is blowing it up.
Getzlaf and Ryan both gone.
Plus signing Souray means they are tanking for top 2 lottery picks in the draft.
If they trade Getzlaf to Toronto, and Ryan to the Isles... they may have the top 3 draft picks next year....

So... the Ducks were saying previously that they want to trade Ryan and get a legit number 2 center back.... but the new rumour is to deal Getzlaf, their only legit number 1 or 2 center, to a team who doesn't have a legit number 1 center, and basically leave themselves in the same situation.
The Ducks rumour makes zero sense. The Leafs don't have what the Ducks need and them dealing Getzlaf puts them back. No part of it makes sense. |
