Hopefully Franson's full value can be achieved via trade to bring in an asset and the Leafs back-fill with an internal - home grown - resource.

McKegg is hopefully that 'come from nowhere' later pick that great franchises seem to develop with regularity...the Leafs need to catch lightning in a bottle with one of those accelerate things.

Franson needs to be coached not traded.

I would be "Flummoxed" too, the guy is a good player and deserved to play 82 games. I pray we get rid of Komi.

Unfortunately in the salary cap world with Komi's salary is pretty much unmovable (unless team needs to get to the floor if there is one in new cba), Franson will need to be traded to help acquire upfront/goalie help.

Plus, even though Franson is young, he is too similar to the other guys we have. His biggest asset is he is a right handed shot, and in fact it is pretty good. Other than that he is not so good in the defensive end.
