I see no prospects on your line up for this year. If we are going to bring in only 1 or two prospects every 5 years to the club then I suggest Aquilini stop investing all that money in player development and scouting and just buy a bingo drum , spin and see what name comes out.
Jensen Mallet Gaunce Schroeder Sauve Connauton Kassian should have a serious look at this year to start plugging some holes ,instead of overpaying mid range UFAs .Not saying slot all of them but at least two should be given a shot. |

Ian Esplen: My Plan For Today
My Plan For Today - IanEsplen
Some of your top suggestions are good, but I've got two overal beefs:
1) Why would Tootoo take a 500k paycut and a spot in the press box after logging career highs in Games Played and points. He can get 1.5 a year and playing time elsewhere today.
2) I don't know if you can count on dumping Ballard for NO money whatsoever. |

Stay away from Subban and Parenteau!
But for Vancouver those moves likes Moss and Stoa would make sense. Size in the bottom six would wear out the other's team defense and let the Sedins have their way. However signing Suter is #1 on a LOT of team's list, and at the end of the day 29 teams won't have Ryan Suter on their roster. |

I give them a shot at a spot, but I think you need vets to push the kids. Gaunce, Schroeder, and Jensen should be top 6 guys. i'm not sure they are there yet, but if they preform I would have problem finding a spot for them.
On D, again you give them a chance, but you can't just hand them a spot. you need guys to push them.
bottom 6, guys will have a chance, but they need to have a vet to push them. |

The CBA allows for teams to spend over the cap by about 10% prior to the start of the season, so Gillis could conceivable end up at around $77 million by the end of the day, and then figure out how to get down to the cap prior to October. Not that he will, but he did say it was a possibility. |

Hasn't been announced, so it is likely not complete, if at all. |

I'm not sure Tootoo would take it, but i offer it.
Ballard and Alberts can be sent to Chicago if no one wants them. |

I like Moss as a top 6 guy.
I like Tootoo for the intimidation.
I don't want to pay that type of money for Suter. I'd rather wait and get a canadian like Weber.
The guy the canucks should trade for who has fallen out of favour with the Leafs is Franson.
Franson, MacArthur, Kadri, 2nd for Luongo, Booth. |

I think Jensen should be on LH 3 rd line .He will make mistakes .Let him compete on third line this year to push Booth out . I think Mallet should give Weise a run at 4 th line winger also.
Gaunce is a wildcard .We will see where his skillset is compared to the pros at camp. I hate going after a guy like Mueller for 3 rd line center who is injury prone and will cost 2.5 mil. Give me Lapierre there any day.
I agree Sauve and Connauton have to realize time is running out. They have to make the jump within the next two years or they will be career AHLers. We need help with our D. |

Shane Doan is better than Burrows .
If you bid on him you need to wait to July 9 th for an answer. No thanks . I am a big fan but his heart is still in Pho. |

I'm positive he wouldn't take it. It's unintelligible.
I'm not waiting for Tambs to offer Suter 3.75 million per, and if he did, I'd laugh at him. |

just once would be enough, but it hasn't happened. He is not listed as an active player on the Canucks roster, there is no mention of it on TSN or the Canucks website, Capgeek still lists him as an UFA. |

imo, i would be shocked if Tootoo got over a million.
750,000 to play on a winner seems possible.
not likely, but possible
