Canucks have the luxury of time. they can wait until the beginning of the season as they're allowed to go 10% over the cap during the summer. They'll wait teams out. Could see a Souray type situation where Luongo plays in the minors for the beginning of the season waiting for the Maple Leafs inevitable collapse.

Luongo has to be moved before the season starts now. Giving 4 mil a year for a back up goalie is way to much. Schneider is now the number one. Having 9.3 million locked up on goaltending is a bit much.

Yes, the situation is too toxic...regardless of return as an organization the best thing to do is go into season clean slate and not have any kind of distractions. They wont get fair value. But sometimes you just gotta fold your hand and move on

only a nucks fan would think the nucks have the luxury of time. luongo's return is going down day by day. gillis should have traded him much earlier, the only two teams that he can trade them now are to toronto and florida, and tallon has markstrom so i doubt he'll pull the trigger.
