Same here.

I like the signing. It can't be true enough that his stats don't tell the whole story. I've seen a lot of his shifts where his line has the puck in the other teams' end for over 50 seconds while their top line is pinned in & has to go to the bench & then comes the Oshie line. Not bad.

Nichol is everything you need in a 4th line player. It's an excellent signing for the price. Arnott definitely wont be back, but I would like to see Langenbrunner back for depth. We shouldn't be signing any forwards, we need a left shot defensman to play with Petro.

The forwards are set with Steen presumably being moved to 3rd line center.

McDonald - Backes - Oshie
Perron - Berglund - Tarasenko
Schwartz - Steen - Stewart
Sobotka - Nichol - Crombeen/Reaves/Langenbrunner/D'Agostini

This brings me to another point. Where does D'Agostini go? Not sure what his trade value is. Putting him in a deal for a defensman seems likely or logical anyway. Still hoping for Carle, but it doesn't seem likely.

Glad you're a fan. There are actually quite a few, but a lot of ppl moved on to www.truehockey.com when Strickland left Hockeybuzz last year. I don't know if a lot of ppl know that the Blues have a blogger here now. Also, the Cardinals are pretty much the best baseball team ever, so most STL sports fans are following them through the summer.

I still think Langenbrunner's a good option as long as he comes in under $2.25mil. Even that is a little steep. Perhaps a $1.2 or $1.5 with performance bonus'.
