Getting him for free would be huge. Our defense being already strong, adding him would make it great.

so Schultz wants to go somewhere where he will play top minutes, He wasn't going to get that with Schenn being there, so burke traded him away, in the hopes that justin will see toronto as a more desirable place to play, because he will get his minutes? am i way off?

i believe the question is why would he not?
he saw his buddy come in and earn a spot while getting on the all rookie team. he will follow suit

Same was said about Gardiner last season...and apparently Schultz is better.

He now has one less D-man to beat as Schenn is gone.

Maybe seeing his friend make the squad makes it a realistic opportunity.

The Schenn deal makes me think that we've got Schultz in the bag... right after the draft Burke was talking with his agent, just shortly before the trade.

My gut says Toronto.

I think the next move is for Stewart from STL and it will involve a D-Man... I'm hoping its not Franson but really think its a good possibility.
