It should be calm, when a team has no talent to make waves.
The smartest thing Toronto can do is draft and develop good young players. Not sure trading is the way to go for this team. |

Anyone on here can recommend a good live feed (not the only-audio feed on nhl.com) for the draft coverage of today? (outside US/Canada). Thanks in advance! |

Yeah, we usually get our hopes high then it ends up a huge disappointment on draft day, but at least it's something to watch. |

Burke's list of preferences (as in 'best players in the draft combination of Leafs needs and player's talent) will probably look like this:
1. Yakupov
2. Galchenyuk
3. Murray
4. Forsberg
5. Faksa
6. Grigorenko
7. Dumba |

It really is a sad day when all we have to look forward too is a high draft pick and the hopes that something... ANYTHING will be done to improve this club to a respectable level again.. |

As long as we keep our pick or at least have a pick in top 10 plus another 2nd, I'm happy....NO NASH!....be nice if we can get rid of one of our L.A.C.K. too |

"Both Burke and Senior VP Dave Nonis are publicly stating that the prices on the market for the big names being shopped are extremely high and unless the prices come down to a more reasonable level, that the Leafs will select fifth in the draft tonight and stay with James Reimer and Ben Scrivens in net for the upcoming season.
These comments that are likely posturing to avoid the appearance of desperation on the Leafs part, but it is clear that if Toronto comes back from Pittsburgh with only Filip Forsberg or Teuvo Teravainen added to the fold, that this weekend will be labeled as a failure. "
this is such a croc of poop !
a failure?
the Leafs are 50 years of failure, one more draft is not going to make a difference !
posturing?
god !
bloggers totally over analyze for the sake of hits !
the best thing the Leafs can do is nothing except draft the player they think is best.
Burke also said on TSN last night, that his timeline for a goalie, if they decide to get one at a REASONABLE PRICE is opening game night ! |
