and why would the devils trade parise's rights away when they havent started contract talks (which will start after the draft)while making it known that parise is the devils #1 priority, doesnt seem to make much sense

also we dont care who wont be traded, just who is rumored to be traded

On Luongo

The pressure is NOT on Toronto to get a deal done quickly, but rather more on Vancouver. The Leafs are involved in deals with far more pressing circumstances, and it is not as if the other Leaf deals are going to involve the same players that will be eventually needed to make the luongo deal happen.. Also hearing the Leafs haven't ruled out a trade for Tim Thomas.

Wow... really? ... I'm speechless.... I think goaltending would be a very pressing need for Toronto... but with saying that... I don't think either team is in a "hurry" to make a move. Vancouver could easily wait until the TD.. or even next summer... it just wouldn't put them in a great position heading into the playoffs... meaning it would probably mean Canucks couldn't bring in a guy like Allen or Wideman if that was their goal. But I'm sure they could make it work either way... heck Nashville goalie tandem would end up being about the same cap hit of Lu and Schneids no matter who the back up is.

and TIM THOMAS??? Is that what you are hearing... from who?
