Give him 2mil and then 750k if he plays more than 70 games and another 750k if he gets 30-35 points.

If not move along. I suspect he wants multi-year though.

I think you can only offer bonus contracts to Rookies ELC and players over 35

Souray is over 35. Turns 36 in July.

Might as well try to keep him as long as it's not too much of an overpay. Not too many guys in Dallas to readily replace him.

Aside from Fistric, Souray is the only muscle on the blue line. Add a year and decrease the value, possibly adding point and games played incentives, to get it done. Then get rid of Robidas and call this year's blue line improved.

Yes please. A couple of players that bring what he does, but are younger and more mobile in FA. I thought our goal was to get younger.

Getting younger is not always better. NHL depth is important. The Oilers have learned that the hard way.

We also learned giving Souray big $$$ on multiple years isn't good either

Well have 0 youth isn't going to be good. Benn is our really only young player on O and Larsen on D. Lots of players in their late 20's. Souray is slow and old.

Could be wrong but I think only single year contracts for 35+ are eligible to include incentives.

Let him walk and give Larsen a bigger role, and Oleksiak a long look at training camp....

I'll defer to your judgement on that one. I'm certainly not a lawyer. Heh.
