Teravainen is one of the youngest players ever to qualify for the draft. If his mother had waited a short while before delivering he would be in next year's draft. Every year you get that last minute rush up the charts by the younger guys in the draft. Last year it was Huberdeau and Hamilton, the year before it was Skinner. This year Teravainen is the kid that is coming on.

This entire rumour would come together well, if you hadn't stated TT was expect to go top 5 or top 8. Montreal trades down with Winnipeg, Kane is involved and they take TT with the 9th pick.

Kane is one of the heir apparants to replace Iginla as the ultimate role model as a power forward. If Winnipeg were to make him available he will net a huge return.

But, maybe Winnipeg needs a new management team. Just seems like there are too many unnecessary conflicts between the team and it's players. Goalie is unhappy, star forward is unhappy, this is not good. The return of the Jets is an incredible story of success so far, don't screw it up.

I also wonder why the Oilers would go for him given the amount of skilled wingers they have on the team and in the system. Unless they make a deal to trade down to select him instead of Yakupov. But isn't TT a LW and we're kinda congested there with Hall/MPS/Hartikainen/Eager and maybe Smyth.

I don't see Edmonton selecting another skilled winger over one of the many available and talented defencemen that they could have if they got another top 10 pick.

I am curious to see where Teräväinen goes. Guy really has rocketed up the draft standings in short order. Would be interesting if he went 2-4 if only to free up a guy for the Leafs that I wouldn't have expected .
