Dee Karl: The Quick & The Dread We're counting down to the last day of live hockey games as the LA Kings only need two more wins.

to be accurate...Quick is a native of Hamden CT who now lives in Milford...you can't go anywhere in hamden without seeing signs rooting on Quick.

Who cares what he watches during the offseason. As long as he is doing pushups with those chains on while watching the NBA, I'm cool with it

Who would have thought the Isles owner and players like basketball better?

It's not the biggest thing but if I was KO I would not admit to watching more basketball then Hockey especially when KO started playing when the season was over and the Isles are not exactly lighting it up.

Having a brother-in-law in the Cup may be the closest the Isles get to the Cup in a long time.

Wow I have not been around for a while been in and out of hospital but I am back and I come back to read something that has nothing to do with the Isles. Nothing unusual for summer around here.

Also Kyle Watching basketball? I think he should watch highlights of the way he played last year and then maybe next year he will be a lot better. I nean just a suggestion.

Cant wait for the draft but we will probably get a blog with how many players have the letter x in there name. Cant wait for that one

I don't give a s**t what KO watches on TV. As long as he's putting up points next season while the Isles are actually in legit contention for a playoff spot instead of when the team's already out of it, nobody should care what KO does in the off-season.

#Isles might salivate over the idea of acquiring the $5 million hit of Tim Thomas. The goalie would be a dream acquisition because his $ hit the cap while he goes unpaid as Thomas sits out next season. But there's little chance Wang/Snow will want to send such a sorry message to their customers and, even more so, to John Tavares and the players. They could try to sell Thomas as Nabokov's successor in 2013-14, but that would be stretching. NYI should easily reach the cap floor, Thomas or not.

Interesting thought.

I do not like reading NYI should easily reach the cap floor. How come Wang/Snow were not worried about sending a sorry message by keeping Cappy or bringin in Rolston, Pandolfo, and Staios?

Here is an even more interesting thought, how about filling out the cap space with players that can actually help the team win games instead of ones that actually are not even playing? Wow, there's a concept! As far as the players and fans being on to Snow and Wangers ridiculous cap floor circumventing we are all on to it, I don't think the players and their agents are stupid enough to not know what is going on? What a farce, pick up a player that says he's not playing!?!?!?

I love when a guy like Botta posts something like this bs with absolutely nothing to back it up but a vivid imagination and an axe to grind and it automatically means that Wang and Snow are ready to do it.

Believe me, I know Botta. He's saying it's not fact, I'm just commenting it wouldn't be overly shocking. Botta is usually spot on with most of his stuff even though the guy is a complete douche, in this instance he is just speculating.

I agree..Botta is just busting stones. But I wouldn't put it past Wang and Snow to do something dumb like that..._)
