So my guess is two of Sekera, Leopold, and Weber are gone. - dadeadhead
It gives them options.
Unless it gets updated, it looks like they signed him to a 1-way deal. You would think that means they have him penciled in for 5-7th dman. It also could mean that one of our up and coming prospects gets another year in the AHL, barring injuries of course.

Its a rumor from a pretty good source that the Sabres have been talking with the Islanders about trading up to the 4th overall. The deal would be something along the lines of Sabres trade 12th, 44th, and a prospect for the Islanders 4th. But it depends on if the Sabres guy is still there(Yakupov, Grigorenko, Galchenyuk) when the Islanders pick so it probably wont be done until the Isles are on the clock.

who would the prospect be? are they looking for defense? pysyk or JGL.. Buffalo really needs that potential top tier guy or they will be stuck in mediocrity for eternity.

I think thats their target as well, but I honestly think Columbus picks Murray at 2. Safe pick that will become top pairing dman of the future. - Rally_Shots
There won't be a team in Columbus if they take Murray. They might have a shot of keeping the franchise in Columbus if they take Galchenyuk though.
I don't see him lasting past Montreal though , they need pure center and he's it in this draft. IMO Grigorenko is about as much of a Center as Jeff Carter is.
I doubt it would be Brennan. They would probably be looking at Pysyk, McNabb or JGL. - Rally_Shots
out of the three i would prefer it be JGL.. we have enough "offensive" dmen as it is right now.. he is much more expendable than the others.. but i don't think he is on the isles wish list either.. i would bet they want McNabb or Pysyk.

Islanders are a great team to try and dump some salary on, I say try and throw in Roy, Sekera, Leopold, Leino, whoever in the deal. Islanders have trouble reaching the floor.

If this is the case i belive they are eying Filip Forsberg this kid has a great hockey sence I could see him in a sabres jersey in 2 or 3 years

The Sabres need to make a decision, do they go for a cup run now and load up on FA's and make a couple deals for NHL Players, or do they prepare for life 2 years from now without Vanek Pommer or Miller. I can imagine Miller being resigned, but Vanek and Pommer might walk if Lindy is still the coach, Im sure by now they want to play for someone else.

I can't, he'll be 34 yrs old.
And please don't say well Broduer is 40.
Broduer is a top 5 goalie of all time. Miller isn't in the top 100.
