For one year at $2M or less? Yes.

Still wish we hadn't traded Samuelsson. It was great getting rid of Sturm, but difficult to part with Samuelsson.

Go......He's old, slow and injury prone.
You must let him go for the sake of your team.

That way he can come back to Vancouver and play on a line with Booth and Kesler

This alone is worth signing him.

Keeper, even at a raise, its not like the contract will be long term so even at more money it will come off the books in a season or two. Well worth it.

I'd keep him on a one year deal, he's probably looking for 2 years though. We definitely missed his secondary scoring and on the PP.

One year, 2.75. That would probably get it done.

Yeah, I never thought this was the amazing slam-dunk at the time that so many did. Still, interested to see what happens with Booth here for a full season - I think we missed Samuelsson...

I think Booth's long term potential for Vancouver will eventually win us the trade, but Florida is definitely the one who benefited most in the short term.

Samuelsson is a solid leader and a playoff horse! Without him Van wouldnt have been so potent against LA in 2010. I think if the Panthers even offered him a contract he stays, regardless of price. He was effective for the Panthers, and kinda rejuvenated his late career, he honestly looked to be having fun on the ice again.

I think both teams won here, Cats got some veteran presence and cap flexibility, whereas the Nucks got a long term option for secondary scoring.
