Sorry but....Staal/Despres > Yakupov.... |
|
|
|
Evidence as to why you are one of the worst bloggers out there.
Staal, one of the best two-way forwards in the game for Gagner, who basically shot his load in a 2.5 week stretch. Sorry, you would have to add to that. Gagner doesn't help Pittsburgh at all.
Despres and Staal is ALOT better than the Russian.
Back to the drawing board Clouts. You are only concerned about what helps the Oilers without considering what helps the other team. Neither deal makes sense |

Keep in mind that staal has one more year before he's a ufa. So yakupov> staal+ any Pittsburgh prospect |

I am sure the fans in Edmonton realize A 37 year old Smyth is not the 28 year old player they used to love and would sooner see him play for Calgary than have him play at the expence of any of the kids. |

Gagner to Pittsburgh for Staal absolutely helps when you consider Staal isn't going to re-sign there in a year and the team will get nothing if he walks. |

I would make the assumption that Tambo wouldnt make the deal unless he could extend Staal, in which case....Staal/Despres > Yakupov....otherwise, I would agree with you.... |

Staal is a beast....if he had first line minutes, he'd easily be a 80pt guy.......he'd be a great match with Hemsky.... |

Fedorov, Mogilny and bure were all before the KHL or right at the end for federov. Kovalchuk isnt exactly widely known as a give it his all playoff performer. Datsyuk yes i agree. Malkin is only who he is cause of the team he is on imo, put him on C-bus and see how happy he is?? And OV is here cause he has a very north ameerican personality |

See, but here's my thought: Staal, as good as he is, is a 50pts per season center. Despres is young. Looks like a hell of a prospect, but he's still young.
Yakupov has superstar potential. Neither Staal or Despres are or will become superstars. Is one superstar worth less than two "good" players? Don't think so. Good players can be found. Superstars? Not so much. |

UMMM ... that is ridiculous. Gagner offers nothing to Pittsburgh, plus he is a PENDING RFA. So, the Pens fork over one of the best two-way forwards in the game for a pending RFA that shot his load in a 2.5 week period and a second? LOL. |

Ive always wondered how Gagner would be in the east..
Gagner plus a second might be ok, but if Staal resigns in edmonton then Pens lose in the deal..
Bottom line is the team that ends up with the best player in the trade wins the deal, had there been no Forsberg in the Lindros trade the Avs likely would never have won the cup, a stash of very good players for a superstar is a terrible trade for the team trading away the star..no matter what the teams needs are..
Man I wish there was some new footage of Yakupov so that everybody would stop this trade talk nonsense..

How about PRV + 2013 1st rounder?
Edit: for a signed Staal |
