Just say no to Luongo. If the Leafs come out of the off-season without him, it will be a success.

unless we can get Vancouver to send him over with Kesler or Hodg... nevermind.

A proud member of the American Hockey League, the Toronto Marlies announced today that they will play the Abbotsford Heat, AHL affiliate of the Calgary Flames, in their second round best-of-seven Calder Cup Playoff series. Abbotsford finished second in the West Division and fourth in the Western Conference with 92 points. The Marlies posted a record of 2-1-1-0 against the Heat during the 2011/12 regular season.

Hmmm.... Go Marlies

If the price is right, I say do it.

One thing is for sure, if he wasn't willing to accept the challenge of playing in TOR then he wouldn't accept a trade here.

If we can dump a salary the other way, and only have to give up a prospect like Kadri then I like the idea of luongo coming here.

Surely the playoffs should be an indication that until we get goaltending that is consistent, this team is going nowhere. You can have all the talent up front, like PIT, but if you can't keep the puck out of your net you fail. Just look at LA, STL, NYR & WSH.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, until we get good goaltending, nothing improves. Luongo will come cheap, and carry a reasonable cap hit. We can flip Reimer along with a second and the 5th overall to CBJ and get their 2nd overall, use it to draft Forsberg. Problems solved

At any rate it will be interesting this summer two see what happens with two major players with bad contracts in Nash and Luongo who by all accounts 'have to' be traded. The ramifications of these long contracts in a cap system are starting to play out now.

I think the Calder Cup is pretty interesting, especially this year now that it means something to Toronto. I'm going to the game next week!

Cool, yeah there are a lot of interesting players to see right now. I've only been to a few Marlies games and they were great hockey for dirt cheap...although I did go up to the beer stand thinking, cool, maybe here beers are like five bucks too because it's AHL...ha ha yeah right still MLSE beer prices. I mightt check out tickets for these games...I have TFC season tickets and I can't beer to watch, having a hard time even selling the things it's BRUTAL right now....at least MLSE has one team going right with the Marlies

I know eh? It's sad.

On a lighter note, Marlies look to be the real deal this year. I would love to see them in the finals. Never been to a game, definitely excited to go though.

LOL @ the beer prices. I thought the same, thanks for letting me know though.. i'll have to drink a few before the game first.
