With the Flyers banged up I rather them play the Panthers, Devils, or Washington. Although why not bring on the Rangers next round?

No matter which opponent they will play, it will be a team with the top goltender and mostly perfect defensive system.
BTW I watched just the 1st period and up to the 1st Rangers goal. Maybe the collapsing has something to do with that Staal disgusting dive before the Rangers' first goal and 2 borderline calls, that put Seantors in the 3 on 5 situation...

I fear no other team.

We can beat anyone if we play to our game 6 level.

I actually would welcome the chance to destroy the Rangers.

Tortorella is the only person I hate more than King Joffrey.

I would rather play the Rangers than the Caps, you guys are gonna score no matter what, The Rags offense is borderline pathetic

Is anyone else happy Gustafsson has finally arrived
Also I would of loved to hear what Coburn said to Crosby in the handshakes.

In any Cup run you need a little luck and the right path.

Play the game the right way and positives things will happen.

At this time, I could care less who they play. Rest up and enjoy the next couple of days off.

I subscribe to the "be careful what you wish for" philosophy. I think that every team will be bringing it's own challenges to the table, and if it's Ottawa or Washington, it will be a team that eliminated a very good team.

Look back to 2010. I'm sure Pittsburgh loved that the Habs knocked off the Capitals, but probably weren't that happy when the Habs knocked them out. The Flyers are gonna play whoever they play. If the Flyers play the way they did in game 6, they can beat anybody.

Has he finally arrived? Gustafsson played a very strong game. We'll see if it continues. A lot of young players have played a strong game or two, only to falter later.

Personally, would love to see a Flyers/Bruins match-up again. Should make for another wildly entertaining series.

I don't want to look ahead, each team has it's strengths and weaknesses. I won't discuss who we play until it is determined. I hope for a Saturday night game, but they rarely have those.

Question: with all of the series in the West now done and 3 still remaining in the East, does the West have a longer gap before starting round 2 so that we can be on roughly the same time schedule? If not, then the problem would continue and rest would be uneven in the SCFs. I assume that all of the West will just rest and wait and start this weekend with us?

Yes let's be careful what we wish for. If the Flyers play like they did in game 6...

Also Good luck to Brad Marsh in his endeavor. Losing your house and all sucks, trust me I know, I'm glad he's found a new niche in life.

I would like to see them play New Jersey or Florida personally as it would not be as physical of a series as the past one.The way the Flyers have put pressure on defenses and goalies(ie Paul Martin and MA Fleury) I think they could win the series reasonably quickly and be fired up for the Conference Final.
My hope anyway!

that's correct -- they'll probably start first though since the east is still going - probably either friday saturday or sunday

Would like to see one of Boston or the Rags at least lose game 7. Having to play Pittsburgh, Boston, and the Rags just to get to a SCF is an absolute gauntlet.

Hopefully Grossmann can practice this week and be ready for Game 1. They are going to need him. Can't afford playing long series with Kubina playing 4 minutes a game, it taxes the rest of the D-core significantly. With Gustafsson emerging playing two very solid games, I would expect he would remain in the lineup at least until Meszaros is ready to return which is at least two weeks away I would think.

I dont consider Theodore, Holtby, and Anderson top goalies. Holtby and Anderson have had great runs so far, but then again Boston's and Ranger's offense aren't the Penguins or Flyers. I think if either make it, they come back down to earth next round.

But I agree with the second part. Tough call to make on a 5-on-3... bad call.

I thought the Coaching staff made a mistake in game 5 with they way the doled out the minutes to the defense. In game 6, even with Kubina playing 4 minutes, Timonen only played 15 and change. Coburn and Carle can absolutely handle playing the minutes they have been playing throughout the playoffs. Lilja has an occasional bad game but for the most part has been reliable all Season. They need to trust some of the other defenseman more then they did in game 5.

I think he will get the chance to continue. But Gustafsson has been up and down in his play. We saw what he was capable of in game 6.
