Although many in the media are calling this a panic move, I like the line changes a lot. Hunter and Julien have been playing a line matching chess game to the point where something has to give.
Changing the lines around forces Hunter to make decisions on who he will put out there now and for the first few shifts the Caps may be fought off guard. Maybe Seguin finds more space now, maybe Marchand has some pressure taken off him and just has some fun crashing and banging with the Merlot line. Maybe Rolston's surprisingly hot hand can benefit from Krejci's passing.
Like last game, I see this as a toss up. But I feel like the whole series hinges on this game, the loser of this game probably won't feel great about a 3pm start tomorrow.
