torres could be such a good role playing 3rd liner. instead he always crosses the line, and just like last years hit on seabrook, he thinks it's a clean hit....
I loved having him on the oil back in the cup run. . he knocked a few guys senseless in the 06 playoffs...probably would be suspensions as well in this day and age.

Mean nothing yet could be 1 game could be 10 , Shannahan is gutless. Make a decision and pick a # and call it a day.

Keep your head up on hossa's part... Keep your feet down on torres' part. Plain and Simple

Yeah, there are more suspensions in the first round this year than all of the playoffs last year because Colin Campbell was (and probably still is) a cute and cuddly bunny. It's not like in one year the level of respect for one another has drastically dropped.

Things will get worse before they get better..it will be all "entertainment and playoff sport/heat of the moment/finishing checks/one for the team" until someone dies

It all started with Weber... Shanahan had a chance to set an example of a star player... 1 game woulda been fine... After all the "we are taking head shots outta the league" nonsense during the regular season... First day of the playoffs, he had a chance to tell the players what the line is... Since everyone saw that there pretty much was no line... Open season until shanahan decided he was going to throw out suspensions like no tmrow

Brutal hit but I don't think he tried to hurt Hossa. He did elevate to hit him but his feet were still on the ice. The fact is that when you hit you move your body into the player. Torres did that but as soon as the contact was made his feet left the ice. I think that was more of a result of his balance changing after the contact with Hossa.

He will be suspended for a while but I think it's very close to being a legitimate hockey hit.

i agree its a tough one, in slow motion u can see his back skate is still on the ice when the initial contact is made, problem is, head shot. i dont really think it was a late hit tho mckenzie said it was .8 seconds late...i disagree, but then i dont get paid to talk puck...sadly.

So friggen hard to say Keep your Head Up in Today's Game, There is so Much SPEED and Quickness today it's nearly impossible

Torres should be Done for the 2012 Playoffs Although If I were a Hawks Fan I would want him playing in the Next Game so someone could hand him a beating.

See Adam MacQuiad after Torres ran Ferrence earlier this Year
