First! My biggest question is not if daniel plays tomorrow or not but who starts in net? i feel more comfortable with schnieder because he can make those saves that he shouldnt but luongo is our #1 and has the 'game 7' experience. If daniel is back it certainly helps our lines bcuz right now it seems like everyone is out of place and trying to do it themselves

Daniel saw Brown's hit on his brother and thought, "I should get back in there for some of that, too!" ...clearly, he's still concussed.

You need Daniel back... Even at 75%, he's more talented than what your getting from guys at 100%... As much as I hate to say it because i'm not a fan but you need to go with Luo... Not playing him speaks volumes where he sits with management/ownership... (or is that a mute point?)

Does it speak volumes? Or is it a "mute" point?

Might as well get a warning in there now: No trolling, no insults, no riot jokes, no wishing serious injure upon players, no sisters comments and no calling the Sedins by feminized versions of their names. I will be here handing out bans and warnings, very possibly in that order. So everybody play nice and talk hockey, please.

Maybe he should talk to Crosby about coming back early from a concussion... I can't imagine he went from "I can't travel" to "I'm ready for playoff hockey where the other team only needs one last win" in just one day. If he's just there to motivate that might work, playing him would probably be really stupid... Even if Vancouver crawls back, it's only the first round. If he's not 100% it's only a matter of time before its even worse.

Just look at Gagne, he's able to skate and stuff, but he's smart and not rushing back for the playoffs because he knows what happens when you do.

Whatever though, not my team.

if schnieder plays. Luongo should ask for a trade, go to Tampa and win a cup. Especially if AV isn't moving on. However putting Luongo in this game might be a bad idea. He has a fragile ego, sitting the last game may have done some damage and might throw him off.

I still l think schneids is the better return to trade, given all the upcoming goalies they have in the system as well. 60+ games? I have my doubts that schneids numbers will match Luo's in the first couple years as a starter.

I hope D. Sedin is actually fully recovered and not being rushed back. Take a page from Mitchells book, recover properly and don't rush back.

The issue is the D. And the lack of Coaching.

The character of the Canucks will be shown in the next game. Will they come up lame duck or will they fight back. I am excited to see what happens.

On a side note, I think its pretty lame that the "Referee" has to come to this thread and immediately start throwing out threats of banning for things that happen in every other teams threads without any repercussions. Either be consistant in the other threads or allow what happens in them in this thread. Just my opinion.

Lastly Luongo should start he has got them to where they are and he deserves to play. He hasn't played bad in first two games he played in.

Re: Eric's rant.

Best of intentions. I agree in a vacuum. But frankly as many calls as we can take OUT of the judgement realm for the refs the better. Black and white leaves less wiggle room for the refs to screw up.

People often debate whether Hank is the right choice for our captain or not and what they would like to see from a captain. The way I see it...he's the best leader we have. He's shown that both times Danny has been out long term. Take a look at that hit... one minute he's trying to read brail on the bench door... then he's out there with his longest and best shift of the game that far.

I know he hasnt done much carrying in the playoffs so far...and this may be his last shot and doing so. But the truth is, nobody would be better suited to wear the C. Kesler and Bieksa's names get tossed around as true leaders but thats mostly because of their #1 fans... they come across very selfish to me.

Where do we see leadership in the future now with Cody gone? Maybe one of our defense prospects?

What threads are you talking about? you want a mod of your own ask your blogger to get you one. It's that simple

As for the threats don't take them too personally. the mod is a good guy. he's not going kick you out without a warning.

Of course the guy wants to play, but the risk seems too high to me. It might work for game 4, but we're looking at 4 games against an LA team whose bread and butter is hitting and grinding it out. I hate to say I don't see it ending well. Maybe come back if they're on the verge of pulling out the series win, but down 3-0 the risk/reward seems out of whack.

Makes sense, so maybe that should just be one rule to throw out. Hell, icing delays the game FAR more often then pucks out of play.

I didn't come to troll or anything but I have been on a few other teams threads and they get hit pretty hard by people trolling and it makes reading the legitimate posts difficult.

Some posters (and bloggers) enjoy threads full of macho posturing and tough guy talk. Many don't. I spend most of my time in this thread making sure it's a place to talk hockey.

I can't speak for every thread: there are a lot of them and I'm just a volunteer with a day job and a toddler. All the mods do their best. But in this thread, the CoC is definitely enforced.

Nice piece Ian.

Last game was a coin toss. The Nucks played very good but ran into a hot goaltender. The good news is, the last game was the best game the Nucks have played in a long time.

Daniel being in LA is amazing and there is no doubt, he'll provide the guys with an incredible shot of adrenalin.

Let's hope he's well rested, 100% and ready to kick some LA Kings butt.

GO CANUCKS GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
