I hated watching that first period. I was hoping they could even make it a game at the end of period 1.
The whole game changed, I think, when Schenn humiliated Adams at the end of the period. He tried to lay him out, but instead bounced off Schenn, so he started chriping and tried to get Schenn to drop the gloves. Brayden skates away, next period flyers kick a$$.

Possibly. I don't think Kubina is really all that healthy of a "healthy scratch".

I'm still blown away by this comeback win. Huge. Great game by Schenn, Briere and Bryz.. way to stick with it.. HUGE pressure on the Pens now. If the Flyers can weather the storm in the beginning of game 2... keep it even or close, then I think we can steal another and the heavily favored Pens will be reeling.

Another note.. as expected, most of the media (especially in Canada) are focussing on the blown call for Briere's goal. Of course.. they ARE NOT even mentioning the blown icing call that lead directly to goal #3. Turnabout is fair play baby.

Did MAB end up leaving the game or did he play it out?

of course. Because the first pens goal wasn't offsides either.
And Briere's goal not only made the score 3-1 on, but it must have threatened the lives of penguin players spouses and children, because they went on to lose in overtime three goals later.
Oh well, I'm fine with it, anything to keep reminding the pens how they blew it last night is fine with me.

I would love to see Kubina dress for the next game. MAB did look nervous and didnt play well imo. Having a veteran like Kubina out on the ice can only help but if he isnt healthy enough there isnt much the Flyers can do. I guess the Flyers can roll the dice with Kubina or dress Gustafsson (another rookie) for Fridays game if MAB is out.

I wish I could find a clip of Schenn's reaction after his goal. CSN showed it last night - arms raised and hollering. I think it's my next avatar.

They can talk about it all they want the goal counted and the Flyers outplayed the Pens for the last two periods plus OT. Flyers earned that win last night.

ESPN REPORTS: Cyndy was seen after the game with a box of tissues as well as panty liners, cuddling Gina, looked kinda like a hockey version of Broke Back Mountain. Nice win Flyers

Just wondering what ails him. Did he not play in the season finale? You think he'd be held out in that one if he was pretty hurt. There could have been a hockey reason for the scratch. If he goes back in they may have to adjust their pairings

It was awesome. I'm rooting for the kings hard in that series. He also had a colossal hit on Burrows which was just fantastic. He is the real deal in the playoffs

Schenner was reminiscent of JVR from 2 years ago.

Instantly my new favorite Flyer.

I loved when he took those 2 guys out in succession, then was like "sup?"
