Which player can the Blues ill-afford to lose? You could make a case for MacDonald, Perron, Polak, Petrangelo, or even Backes. I'm going to throw one out there that no one is going to pick, and that is Reaves.

Last time the Blues made the playoffs, they were weak. They got pushed around. They were hammered from all sides and they gave up on too many plays for fear of getting hit again. These Blues are tougher by far, but as we saw the other night, with Reaves out of the lineup, the entire team looks different. Reaves can eat the penalty minutes, put the body on the other team, and his presence on the bench gives the rest of the team room to work. I'd argue the entire 4th line of Reaves, Nichol, Crombeen needs to be dressed every game, but I understand the need for a bit more offense during the post season. I think, if anything, Reaves/Crombeen one or the other needs to be in the lineup at all times. Make that happen, and this team has at least a 50% better chance of making it to the finals.

Quick was hot last year but we still beat him in the first round once we figured out how to shoot high. This year our special teams stink and this need to change or we are done in 4. The PP is good but inconsistent. Our PK is horrible so we need to stay out of the box.
