In the paper it states Bolland is out today.. Who plays in his place?

Believe Bolland was ruled out yesterday. Don't think Bruno practiced. Doesn't sound like he is playing.

Bolland is out, while Morrison is likely centering the 3rd line. I read where Hayes was taking shifts with Kane and Hossa this morning. I guess that means no Frolik?

Dunno. I have not heard that he is out. Tonight could be a little wacky as far as lines and pairings.

Can someone with more knowledge explain how 67 turned into a over paid pile of trash?

On a side note, the Hawks need a win tonight or Saturday, and a OTL at worse, to have a .500 record on the road.

He got severe whiplash followed by depression when #25 Slick Vik and #65 whizzed by him on the depth chart and has never recovered.

Rather than worry about the road record, I'd sonner hope no one else gets injured. The Hawks can't afford that right now. That's obvious if Q is sticking Morrison in the line-up to fill in for Bolland.

I guess Calgary is going to start Akim Aliu on the second line tonight. They must be despirate if they're going to use him.

Bit of a blast of prospects past.

I caught Akim playing like 4 or 5 games in a row when he was on loan to the Rivermen last season and I thought he looked solid in that stretch. Certainly more solid physically than in the past.

How was he mentally? That was the problem with him. Aliu has a real bad attitude in general.

Hopefully Aliu will do the Hawks a favor and take a run at some of the Canucks star players.

IMO the opponent is why Toews is not playing tonight. After the stuff from the other night, he would be a target and mgmt. wants none of that. Wings play different style and I see 19 in that one.

Yeah brilliant, because the next team he plays against will have no clue he had a concussion.

I heard doctors cleared 19 but the ball is in his court for when he ready to play. He said yesterday he is still experiencing some symptoms.

I agree if the maturity/emotional issues are dealt with, he has NHL talent.

Was BY FAR the best player at the 09 Prospects Camp, where kids like Kruger and Olsen and Pirri were.

I agree on injuries.. Wild have nothing to play for, and will be "wild" tonight.. no pun intended. I think it was smart to keep 19 out for tonight after the shannigans of last Sunday.

Aliu is a clydesdale if you're talking about his body and physical play. The kid can even score. The problem with him was always attitude. He never seemed to care much about the game or his team, but rather whatever might be pissing him off at any given moment. Aliu was always a timebomb waiting to go off.

Agreed. I'm also ok with sitting Toews for the first or second round of the playoffs if he isn't a 100% ready to go.

I'm okay with keeping him out till training camp, if he is not ready to go.. Looking Big Picture with him, no reason to rush him back.. I think most would agree.
