Unrelated; But for those doubting the Zidlicky trade, including myself...

Foster has yet to record a point with Minny in 11 games...

Zidlicky has 8 pts in 19 games, 5 on the PP...2G 6A, also is a -1, which is not bad for a man who spends Kovy-like minutes on the PP...

Also take into consideration some of the minutes he's logging, as he has had games exceeding both 25 and 29 minutes. He is a very good defenseman, who just needed his confidence and "mojo" back ( I was going to say swag, but I knew how much shvingy loves it). Same with Bernier and Poni.

Zid also plays for a MUCH better and offensively potent team than Minnesota.. which is one of the weakest offensive teams. With that said, Zid is a huge upgrade over Foster. He skates with more of a purpose, on both ends of the ice. he's WAY more aggressive on both ends, he holds onto the puck, makes plays, hits, dives, bing bang boom.

and some doubted him.

Zidlicky has been good, especially after his early struggles. Our top PP unit is solid too, he has been doing good work on it.

Going forward, the Devils will pay a net cost of only $300,000 annually for the use of Prudential Center.

Yeah, but for the Devils sake, it's a great thing. Newark generates a lot of profit from the arena/parking, and in a sense, don't really "need" the Devils money, per say.

Fractured left wrist for Josefson.

Guy can't catch a break, pun intended.

We need to get someone besides Boulton/Janssen on that fourth line.

Maybe they will give Zalewski or Zharkov another shot? Hopefully.

Komisarek and Foligno were jawing off the faceoff, they go to get the puck in the corner, Komi misses with a check and then Foligno brings the puck to the front of the net, and in the ensuing scrum, the Sabres score.

Komisarek is a (frank)ing dumbass.

That games was downright horrendous to watch. It was such a snoozefest. Both teams played like the didnt care at all. I feel bad for Josefson but moreso for the fans because now we are going to have to see Boulton or Janssen in the lineup again. I hope to God, they do the right thing and bring someone up that has a little talent to play the 4th line. Zharkov maybe. At least he can kill penalties. Move Carter back to center on the 4th line. I know people hate on Tedenby but could he really provide less than Janssen or Boulton? At least Tedenby has a chance to score.

I don't know, but of the options that are reasonable, it's between Mills, Sestito, Zalewski, or Zharkov.

I don't think Sestito is that bad of an option, Zalewski and Zharkov will be preferable, but they've been all of four combined NHL games so I don't think it's safe to rely on them in the playoffs. It's quite sad, as I really really liked our chances with Josefson on the fourth line. Hopefully, they call someone up because Boulton/Janssen make our fourth line miserably ineffective, and in my opinion, Josefson was the main puck carrier on that line, I don't know if another fourth line would work. Bernier and Carter are both pretty good once in the offensive zone, but neither has the ability to carry the puck through the neutral zone.

Like I said, Tedenby can be that guy. I know he was ineffective but if there is one thing he can do, its stickhandle and skate.

I'm not sure that they put him on the fourth line.

I guess it could happen, as DeBoer thinks Carter/Bernier are very responsible, which they are. I guess it wouldn't hurt to try if Albany is out of the playoff race.

EDIT: Albany is out.

I hope someone is called up today, I really do. I don't care who it is, as long as they can skate, hold on to the puck, and aren't a defensive liability, and can actually create something.

I am just throwing hypotheticals out there because we both know Boulton will be there as much as we all think its stupid.

DeBoer did say he'd talk with Lou if they should call up someone from Albany. So there is a glimmer of hope.
