Thanks for the breakdown Kamal...happy to see PG leave...and BG too...
But I'm wondering...
In light of recent interviews made with Serge Savard...is he still involved enough in the hockey spheres to be adequatly advising The Habs on who they should go with?
Do you think they might already have decided and are waiting for the season to end before they make an annoucement (which would probably mean that the elected person is currently involved with another team)?

To be honest, from what I've heard (for what it's worth), the Habs already have a GM and will announce it after the season.
I heard that more than a month ago.
Whether that is the case or not we'll never really know.
As for Savard, the Molson's respect the man tremendously. That being said, he hasn't been involved in hockey for almost two decades and doesn't know the modern (salary cap) game.
But he is a smart man and very well respected and connected. It remains to be seen how much influence he has on Molson. |

The whole 'prefer that he speak French' thing is being short-sighted. I understand the culture and all but it is 2012. |

It's pretty sad that you would take some less qualified just because they speak french. If I was them I wouldn't give a poop if he speaks french as long as he gets the job down. But if that the way they want to go let them I say. |

I bet Buffalo fans would be thrilled to have a french speaking only front office with their team being at the very bottom of the standings.

Honestly I don't really care if he does or doesn't as long as he gets the job done like he has so far. I'm just glad we got rid of Jacques Martin I think he terrible and when we had him he was both the GM and HC! |
