I've been saying all month the Sharks would get hot in March. I also posted on twitter before the Bruins game that I thought they would go on a hot streak starting with a win over Boston. So far i'm right, so hopefully they'll keep it up

That game was so hard to watch. I dont think any of the goals were Varlys fault. The D let him down so bad.

I would say since that 5-3 win in Washington in mid-February. And at home - probably since January. It's amazing we are in first place in the division after all that.

Cant ask for a much better game than that. Only thing I might change is to switch hanzus fro galiardi once hes healthy. Even Niemi made played a goos game tonight. You cant really fault him on that goal. Just wish he whad better rebound control.

Also, I really wish Braun would get some publicity as a rookie of the year candidate. By no means do I think he could/should win it (Landeskog for sure) but damn this kid is playing well. Just wish his name would come up in the discusion every now and then. Oh well guess thats what happens when your a rookie dman on the west coast

Braun has been good, but there are a lot of other good rookie defencemen this season. In 2006-07 Vlasic and Carle were starters on the NHL All-Rookie team but weren't anywhere close to Calder contention (although the nominees were no slouches: Malkin, Jordin Staal and Stastny).

They were both born and grew up there when it was still Czechoslovakia. In the 90's they split into 2 countries, the Czech Republic and Slovakia, but to guys their age, it's all the same thing. I play hockey with a bunch of "slovaks" and got that lesson from them haha. They don't like the fact that it got split up, so they don't care which they are called.
