I'm glad I'm not the only one who has that thought everytime I hear or see them. They just need a maroon velvet curtain hanging behind them for the TV shots. I'm also wondering if that makes Rob Ray Fozzie Bear? Waka-waka!

Noone makes Jack Edwards sound good. Definition of a tool and blatent homer. Kevin Sylvester is not good, that i can agree with. However he doesn't induce vomiting (just nausea) while listening to him, unlike Edwards.

Rick was great in his time. However, his time has passed, and Harry Neale should have retired when CBC told him they weren't going to bring him back, which makes things worse. We all want to hear Rick Jeanneret call a Stanley Cup for the Buffalo Sabres, but it's time to bring someone else with some talent in here, and maybe negotiate in his contract that should the Sabres get to the point where it looks like they will win the Cup, Jeanneret gets to make the call. They hired Brian Duff to do intermission work for road games, so they're obviously not sparing expenses.

Anyone hear what Gare said after Tropp's big hit? You can drop a "That's what she said" several times when RJ calls a game but WOW that took the cake.

I will be the first to say that I have seen flashes of the blatant homerism in the vein of Jack Edwards from Sylvester and if he doesn't keep it in check it could get bad. BUT there is no announcer in any sport worse than Jack Edwards...period!
