As expected, the Canadiens' Masterton nominee this season is Max Pacioretty. The award is given to the player "who best exemplifies the qualities of perseverance, sportsmanship, and dedication to ice hockey".
If coming back from a broken neck and severe concussion to score 30 goals doesn't fit the bill, I don't know what does (pardon the pun).

Point is, if our best is a hair over 50%, it means everyone else is likely below 50%. Chasing the puck after every draw isn't a recipe for success.
