Sorry if I missed it in the few threads over the last couple days, but what's the deal with this Manning kid? Does he project to possibly be an NHL regular? Any offensive upside?

Wonder if we'll see Bob start one of these upcoming back to backs. I could see him get the nod against the Leafs.

He had some seasons with very decent offensive numbers in the WHL. Got a bit of mean streak, as well, usually getting 100+ PIM

His offensive game is what will determine if he sticks in the NHL. Needs some work in his own end of the ice. Similar junior career to Andy Delmore, except he'd also fight a bit.

"MannDog" looks like he could be good. If he turns out to be a decent defenseman that would give the Flyers three young guys who can help out (MAB, Gus, Manning). I like it.

Not a bad idea. Need to get him a few more starts this year.

The way the schedule is this month, he's going to get a couple starts.

This is the kind of stretch that builds character, but it will also prepare them for the tight playoff scheduling.

I agree. I rather give Bryz the start vs the Devils tomorrow anyway.

It's good that they're winning despite the injuries, but this month is brutal. Both the Devils and Flyers have difficult months. The schedule is asinine

I just smile when I think of all the practical experience these rookies are getting and will continue to get this year. Many of them will stay with the team and some can be parlayed into other assets if need be. You cant have enough experienced young players with low cap hits.

Just was watching NHL OTF and had a scary thought.. What if the Flyer and kings both made it to the Cup Finals...

In order for that to happen, the LAK have to make the playoffs first. Mike Richards has one goal in his last 33 games. Just insane.

How bout this thought, Penguins catch the Rangers and win the Division, setting up a first round series between the Rags and Flyers.

That was my preseason prediction with my brother in our annual "final 2" guesses for all 4 major sports. He chose Washington/Vancouver.
