I dunno if I'd go so far as to call our first back to back wins since the start of January a winning streak but it's nice to finally win consecutive games.

Turco may get a new mask, but I can't see him wasting the money on a new set of pads, it would take him longer to get them worked in than his contract is with the Bruins. I do agree they are horrendous.

One of the most important things from last night, in my opinion, was Julien FINALLY moving Brian Rolston off of the Marchand-Bergeron line. Those two players have been the Bruins most consistent offensive players all year, and it simply wasn't fair or smart to saddle them with the piece of garbage that is Brian Rolston.

Rolston used to be a fine player, but he is old, slow, and clearly rusty from missing so much time. I do think he is a better option than the Josh Hennessys of the AHL, but he has no business riding shotgun with Berg and March and even less business on either power play unit.

When the Bruins traded for Rolston and Mottau Islanders fans laughed because both players stunk so badly. We defended the moves by saying the Bruins didn't get either of them to be top line players, and that they could succeed as third line/d-pairing fodder, and certainly outperform the likes of Josh Hennessy and Andrew Bodnarchuk. So far, Julien has used Mottau that way. But for some inexplicable reason he has used Rolston as a key contributor, something he simply is NOT anymore. Jordan Caron, on the other hand, has earned more ice time and ice time with skilled players. I was glad to see him get a shot with Berg and March and I hope it continues. I think Rolston on the third line with Kelly and Pouliot makes a lot more sense anyways.....and PLEASE get him off the power play. Just because he manned the point at one point in his career doesn't mean he should be doing it now.

I agree with all this except that I don't mind him at the point on the 2nd PP, we've had trouble filling that role and I like him there better than Bergeron or Peverley. I still don't know why JB doesn't get a look there.

It is really good to see Caron gaining confidence as the kid has shown flashes of his ability in the past. It is something the Bruins need desperately. While Rolston appears to be a step behind I hope he finds in place in the next few games. IMO when Paille and Peverly returns Pouliot sits unless Caron cools off. Same with Ference's return... for the love of god get Corvo off the ice.

Should look pretty nice with the matinee jerseys. I would be floored if Turco doesn't give up 5 goals in his first game.
