Hodgson likes to say "Like I said" a lot.

Man last year, and even up to two games ago i wanted to sell more than anything else. But I have to admit playoff hockey would be nice.

Maybe Canucks fans can shed some light on this a bit. Was he really unhappy in Vancouver? I know he had back injuries, but what are they (media) getting at regarding his anger with the team and his back injury?

I think knowing we have 4 picks in the first two rounds helps. Who cares if we don't make it. Shoot for the stars and we can always fall back on that. Were in a good spot regardless of what happens

Thats right. I'm just glad they are playing respectable hockey and have set themselves up for the future. Playoffs would be a bonus.

I think we've seen the real Buffalo Sabres these past few weeks. The team everyone thought we would be. If we played most of our games like we have been lately, we'd basically be the Rangers. If our offense was also firing on all cylinders, we'd be one of the best teams, if not the best team in the league. We manage to trade for a little more offensive punch and start playing like the team we're built to be, we're going to be frakkin good.

What a stand up guy. Putting myself in his shoes, I'd just walk out or put it flatly that I wasn't going to give them what they wanted. He answers his questions in such a respectful way... I will forever miss you Cody.

There was a time yes. It appeared to have been left in the past.

Cody and agent say there was no trade request but I wouldnt be surprised if there was a time when it was dicussed 3 years ago and it's why this rumour about a request is not so black and white. Av regrettably said some insulting stuff that he had to eat crow on. I think Cody's parents we not very happy more than anything. Cody from day one just tried to deflect all this stuff that wasnt his fault so he could move on...and he did. I think all the agent switch ups have a lot to do with his father as well. Cody is 22 now. I'm sure it's in his hands now but back whan all that was happening he was 18/19 and I don't blame daddy for looking out for his kid the way things were turning out.

As far as the back goes, it appears to be of no concern amymore. The reason it took so long to clear up was for the longest time they were treating a seperate problem and confused why it wasnt improving. Once they figured out that they overlooked the other injury, his recovery was straight forward.

Do you know exactly what happened? I don't.I don't know if he wanted to stay in Vancouver and I am pretty sure you don't know either. Ask about his skill set his style of play or his favourite colour .I can promise there is no one here on HB that knows what went on between AV and Hodgson.

Still think he is a great player but he is wearing different colours now so I will let Sabre fans pump his tires.
