Nice pick-up.

Solid player. Reminds me a lot of Zubrus, just more offense.

Honestly from everything that has been said it's almost 100% that he is back. If he weren't he wouldn't have the power to make this trade and others that he will make.

Call Howson a (frank)ing idiot, I have and I had a lot of respect for him. But ownership is the bigger (frank)ing idiot.

First of all if your GM is on the hot seat like Howson was last summer why the hell would you allow him to extend Tyutin and Umberger early in the year? Why not wait and see how the new year is going before you allow a guy that could be on his way out to extend these players. Second, you want to keep a guy around who decided Vermette and Carter were core players and now one is gone a year and a half after an extension and the other has been on the block for most of his time in CBJ.

So after all this happens you still have faith in the guy to deal your franchise player? Howson might be stupid, but other owners were smart enough to fire their idiot GM's before things got out of control.

God job Yotes, Vermette is one of those under-rated type players, plays a solid two-way game and is fast. Everybody is having a down year in Columbus, he should fit in nicely with Phoenix.
