It's not hard to judge. Quincey has been a constant enigma, and from what I hear, had a bit of an attitude. The Avs have too many defenseman, and I'd rather see Elliott playing.

When I heard Quincey was traded, I honestly was hoping for a 2nd rounder. I'll take Downie over a 2nd, thanks.

I'll take Downie, sure. I sure won't be sad to see Quincey female doging his way to the box, that is for sure. Every penalty wasn't his fault, it seemed

One thing with Downie, when he's on the ice the other team is looking over their shoulders!

This is exactly the type of player Burke should have been looking at, with the bunch of softies we have up here.

Yes, he can be a bit of a problem at times, but this guy shows up to play. I think this is a great move for the Av's!

if he can keep his head in the game and not be stupid it well be a good pick up! but i still this they could have got a little more for Qunicy maybe a 3rd or something.

Downie's issue and strength is his grit and intensity, but he also is a penalty magnet. He would bump into his own players going to the bench and get 2 minutes for roughing. good luck with him, when under control he is a force and a pain to other teams.

Well lets put it this boys, think about the squads we had when we won the cups and the division titles and you will see guys like Claude Lemieux , Mike Ricci , etc ..
So when i look at this trade i see another step in the right direction..

Shouldn't you be thanking yourself? I mean, the wings have now given up 2 draft picks for the same player in separate deals.

Great trade on the Av's part, but temper the expectations on points. Most of his points were scored while lining up with Stamkos. He most likely won't be on the top line for the Avs.

great trade for the avs..

u need guys like downie, prust, ott, clutterbuck, clarkson etc..heart and soul guys.. hard to find and acquire..

Whoever decided to play Quick is the goat. Quick was terrible. Worst game I've seen of him.
