The Hawks are still interested in an Edmonton defenseman: big, physical guy.

Will gladly trade Theo Peckham for new nets and a bucket of pucks.

Neither Jones nor Winnik are all that physical,and neither take FO's from what i remember..i hope they land someone who can win sime FO's and hit..or one player that does one thing and another that does another thing...i assume the edmonton player is Sutton despite the contract extension...Quincey would be a great addition

The Blackhawks, with 22 remaining games, will play 11 against teams that currently have more points, and 11 games against teams with current lower point totals.

I was high on him last year.

Winnik and Quincey would be spectacular pickups. Both are fairly young, have size...Winnik is good on the dot which will help.

I imagine such a player(s) will be costly to the Hawks, I'm thinking a couple prospects and several picks.

Still, they both fill a need.

Wrong. Winnik is very good in the circles. Mid 50s%. He's also strong on the puck and would be a good helper on the PK.

Jones not as interested in myself.

Ditto on Quincey. Would KILL to get him and I think he could be a great pairing with Hammer on Combo 2...moving Leddy down to third pairing where the pressure is much less.

For the games with clubs with lower points isn't it correct most of those games are against teams in the playoffs or very close?

Cuz a few weeks ago only Nashville had a slightly tougher sched than the Hawks in the West.

I think they're more interested in shoring up the D and thereby getting Crawford right. They will not splurge in any way for Nabokov. Goaltending will only be addressed in the offseason and that will be only if Crawford has another rough patch here.

Jurcona might be a possibility and I'm guessing the price would be a mid-range pick and mid-range prospect.

Monday can't get here fast enough! I don't think I wished for a week & weekend to fly by so quickly. JJ just keeps dangling that carrot at thethe end of that string, and none of us can get to it...damn your hide & your knowledge of hockey rumors fine sir

Hope 'Hawks come out flying and keep the pedal to floor the entire 60 mins tonight. Needs to shut down Dats. If we can do that somewhat, we should be pretty good. I know Cleary & Jimmy Howard are supposed to be back tonight. I would almost sit BIG John tonight instead of Fro. We need some defense to try to sustain their firepower. I look for a big game from our new 3rd line of Bolly, Bicks & Slick Vik.
