To me, that points out that the Wild are going to keep their core players in tact, regardless of how this season turns out for them. These core players will provide the foundation for the young guns that will make their way to the NHL next season and will provide the framework for Coach Mike Yeo to continue teaching his system. So, win lose or draw, expect the Wild to have very few moves leading up to the trade deadline and one week from today.

I thought Yeo's answer to Russo after the St. Louis game was telling when he asked if Yeo had to be worried about the team giving up. He sounded like a guy that wasn't too sure this season could be saved but was paying very close attention to how the players dealt with it. He talked about the culture they are trying to build and sounded like he is in evaluation mode about who fits into that culture and who doesn't.
I'm OK with the Brodziak re-signing. I think he fits the kind of guy they want and they didn't have to give him ridiculous money to keep him around.
I would agree that we will see little to no activity on the trade front. The guys they are willing to move either no one wants or they just aren't impact players.
