Todd Cordell: Are the Devils in on Pavel Kubina? More on Marek Zidlicky, other notes

Ducks are my favourite team from the West so I love the comeback they are putting together. They weren't as screwed as the Devils were last year so I definitely think they are going to make it to the post-season.
I would way rather trade for Zidlicky than Kubina too. Zidlicky is in need of a change in scenery in my opinion but I'm not convinced that's Kubina's problem.

i doubt we are in on kubina or he would come here

for some reason i dont think zidlicky is going to be traded to the devils, id like him if it was for a cheap package

and kovy has been great this season, especially since he took the blame and said he needs to stop turning the puck over and make the safe plays like dumping it into the corner

A bit surprising that Zidlicky got his first PP point in the last game. Seems like his game has declined this season. Hes in his mid 30s and has no goals this season. Is he worth adding?

Absolutely. He doesn't fit in with the Wild's system and has been fighting with Mike Yeo about it all year. He certainly fits the Devils system.

A change of scenery can be huge for players. Just look at Alexei Ponikarovsky.

he would already be 3rd in points playing 39 games for the devils from dmen, and he knows how to move the puck and step in to the offense

he is worth getting, and he can get a few goals, minny has been holding him back, and he hasnt slowed down that much

My money's on either Sheldon Souray or Niklas Grossman from Dallas.

Nieuwendyk and the Dallas connection get cultivated again.

Has he been bad this season? Last time I heard he was having a decent year. But I haven't heard anything about his game recently. I know he sucked in Edmonton but that was the past few years.
