Any of you who fought against the Lighthouse PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE, come to the ALL-STAR Game in Columbus, OH and check out the arena district complete with Arena, Ballpark, practice arena, restaurants, bars, stores, parks, housing, hotels, etc - this way you can get a taste if what could have been on Long Island. The Lighthouse was probably a little nicer and more WOW factor. Come check it out. Maybe you should even come for the Isles vs Jackets game 4/7/12, each teams' last game of the regular season and at this rate the last game before golf...

Blah Blah Blah.... this team is not moving (out of NY)... and if Nassau ultimately loses the team... F em. Someone else will benefit from the revenue generated by this team.

Talking about the Area getting the revenue. Weather it be Brooklyn, Queens, Suffolk... someone is going to benefit from it. Restaurants, Transit (buses,trains, cabs) shops, hotels, gas stations, bars, local law enforcement... 1 single game can generate millions of dollars for the surrounding area..... 41 games... Gold mine for the area that talks Wang out of Nassau.

The Islanders need to stay in New York! They have an underrated loyal group of fans that have been punched in the mouth numerous times by poor management and ownership over the years. If Nassau County politicians continue to drag their feet than hopefully Sufolk or Brooklyn will step up and house them. This is a team on the rise that will be hosting playoff games for the next few years.

Most hockey fans didn't want the Penguins to leave when there was uncertainty about their new building. Lets hope the hockey community rallies behind the Islanders as well.

thanks for the non Troll post. Unfortunately I don't think anyone in the hockey community can get through to the idiots in Nassau county politics. Both sides area a horror show. At this point I am rooting to leave Nassau at the very least. Let these people get exactly what they deserve... joke.

Brooklyn Arena has plenty of seats and sweets for an NHL arena... it would be just fine. Unfortunately it does not give an oportunity for Wang to make any of the $200 mill he has lost back.. so is also probably not going to happen (save me the he is not losing that much crap please). Unless Somewhere in Long Island or Queens gives CW a chance to build his dream project this team is gonzo.

Let's drop the whole direction this strain is going... Dee is a nice lady. She cares deeply about the Islanders and writes a post almost everyday to allow Isles fans the oportunity to vent on the Message boards. Please leave any personal comments about her off of these boards.
